International Student Support Package

Good news for our international student community!

A second round of emergency cash grants are now available for international students still experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19.  The International Support Package (ISSP) was announced earlier this year by the South Australian Government to support international students studying and residing in South Australia.

Similarly to the last application process, please see below for ways to access this grant:

If you currently hold a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) with a future commencement date with one of South Australia’s three public universities, please refer to option 2. For students who do not have a COE with a university, please refer to option 1.

1.  $500 Emergency Cash Grant

This package is for international students currently studying with TAFE SA and have been significantly affected by COVID-19 restrictions. Students can now apply for a second $500 emergency cash grant.  For more information including Frequently Asked Questions, eligibility criteria and the link to the application portal, click here.

Applications opened Thursday 12 November and close on 28 February 2021

2.  Package and Pathway Students (English, VET or pathway with one of South Australia’s three public universities)

This package is being individually assessed by each university. Each provider may have its own systems and criteria.

TAFE SA / University of South Australia packaged students
Applications opened 9 November and closed 26 February 2021

TAFE SA / University of Adelaide packaged students
Applications opened 6 November and closed Friday 13 November 2020 (students should have received direct communication by the University of Adelaide)

TAFE SA / Flinders University packaged students

Please note
With an overwhelming number of students registering for information and application support, it is anticipated that application numbers for the ISSP will also be extremely high.
