Delivery of Apprentice Training in Printing by TAFE SA

future-skills-waThe Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) has renewed TAFE SA’s ‘Preferred Provider’ status for delivering apprenticeship and traineeship training for the period 1 January to 31 December 2017 under the Western Australian government Future Skills subsidised training reform.

TAFE SA delivers apprentice training in WA for eligible students in selected printing qualifications. To enrol, eligible students must have a contract of training, training plan and have undertaken course counselling by the program.

Indicative Fees

The course fee is the sum of fees for all units that a student enrols in.  Trainees are required to pay course fees regardless of mode of delivery, including training that is 100% on the job.  An hourly rate based on nominal hours will apply to each unit commenced in 2017. RPL will be charged at 50% of the hourly rate based on nominal hours applicable to each unit commenced in 2017. The composition of courses must comply with training package requirements and enrolled units must be attached to a course.

Existing worker trainees at any qualification level are charged at the $5.79 fee rate and are not eligible for fee concessions.

Secondary school aged persons not enrolled at school; the maximum course fee chargeable in 2017 is $420. The maximum is the total fee for all courses the student is enrolled in.

For these students, course fees for courses that are below Diploma level are calculated at the concessional rate until the student reaches the fee cap. The Diploma and Advanced Diploma course fee maximum does not apply to these.

The Student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as student service and resource fees.
