Jeffrey Harris My Fathers Table

  • Dates: 10 Oct – 01 Nov, 2012
Jeffrey Harris references the vocabulary of tailoring. Shears, chalk lines, patterns and the layout of tailored clothing made by his father are translated into paintings. The significance of the table – a horizontal plane surface on which so much human interaction takes place, meals are laid out and shared, games are played, work is done – is explored. A table of contents. A table of events. These paintings commemorate Jeff’s 80th birthday.
