Firearm Safety Training - Category AB
This Course is available for SAPOL Approved Firearm Safety Training only
Description
Registration for Firearm Safety Training Category AB.
To be eligible to enrol in this course you must first apply and be approved for a Firearm Licence with the South Australia Police (SAPOL). This is a legal requirement of SAPOL.
You are required to provide your SAPOL Approval Letter at the time of enrolment.
The Firearm Safety Course is divided into four main sections which cover the following topics:
- What is a firearm?
- Firearms and the law
- Safety with firearms
- Using firearms responsibly
- Hunting and animal destruction
- Hunting laws and legal obligations
- Range rules
If you have approval to undertake Category CD you can also register for this course and undertake on the same day as Category AB.
