Length of course – 5 weeknights
Derivatives are financial products that are “derived” from another financial product. They are usually leveraged products and as such their value can fluctuate more than the underlying instrument on which they are based – and so they offer traders and investors the opportunity to magnify returns (and consequently losses).
Share Investment - Advanced
In this course, you will learn about three of the more commonly traded derivatives: Contracts for Difference (CFDs), Exchange Traded Options and Instalment Warrants. By the end of the course you will understand what they are, their characteristics and how each of these products can be used by both traders to earn extra income, and by investors to either hedge a portfolio, lock in a buy or sell price, or to earn extra income from their share investments.
