Work Safely at Heights and Enter and Work in Confined Spaces

Description

This short course aims to enhance your understanding and knowledge of general workplace safety and plant operations and to provide understanding of principles relating to the building, construction, civil and road transport industry. To work in these industries, obtaining these licences is a mandatory requirement.

Skills Covered:
- Types of respiratory protective devices (breathing apparatus)
- Atmospheric testing requirements
- Safety work systems and risk assessment
- Harness and lifelines as per AS 1891
- Access Equipment and fall arrest systems

  • - Original photo identification is required (e.g. Australian Drivers Licence, Proof of Age card, Passport). The photo ID must contain photo, signature and date of birth.
    - Basic literacy and numeracy skills with ability to speak, write and understand English is required (ie no translators)
    - Dress code: student must have their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as long sleeve shirt and shoes with rubber grip soles

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.
