Course Admission Requirements (for International Applications)

  • Academic IELTS score of 5.5 Overall with minimum of 5.0 in all bands or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of Year 12 or overseas equivalent

International Course - application process

If you are applying from onshore, generally, you will need to apply for an international course to TAFE South Australia at least two months before you want to start your studies in Australia. If you are applying from offshore it is highly recommended that you apply at least four months in advance.

Qualifications & Skills Covered

Certificate III in Live Production, Theatre and Events (Technical Operations)
Units in audio, lighting, staging, vision systems, use of hand tools and power tools, follow OH&S, source and apply entertainment industry knowledge, working with others, plus managing own work and learning.

Certificate IV in Live Production, Theatre and Events (Technical Operations)
Units in audio, lighting, staging, vision systems, use of hand tools and power tools, follow OH&S, source and apply entertainment industry knowledge, working with others, managing own work and learning; plus team leadership units.

Diploma of Live Production, Theatre and Events (Technical Production)
7 core units: Implement workplace OHS and security procedures; Manage risk; Source and apply entertainment industry knowledge; Manage people performance; Coordinate production operations; Establish and manage production requirements and resources; Organise and monitor bump in/bump out; plus 14 elective units.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency within this Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment.
