Employment Outcomes

This qualification reflects the role of a stage manager. As such it reflects the role of individuals who analyse, diagnose, design and execute judgements across a broad range of technical or management functions and who have a wide range of specialised technical, creative or conceptual skills.

Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

Qualifications & Skills Covered

Certificate III in Live Production, Theatre and Events (Technical Operations)
Units in audio, lighting, staging, vision systems, use of hand tools and power tools, follow OH&S, source and apply entertainment industry knowledge, working with others, plus managing own work and learning.

Certificate IV in Live Production, Theatre and Events (Technical Operations)
Units in audio, lighting, staging, vision systems, use of hand tools and power tools, follow OH&S, source and apply entertainment industry knowledge, working with others, managing own work and learning; plus team leadership units.

Advanced Diploma of Stage Management
11 core units: Manage a budget; Implement workplace OHS and security procedures; Manage risk; Source and apply entertainment industry knowledge; Manage people performance; Stage manage the production/event; Call the production/event; Organise and facilitate rehearsals; Analyse performance outline/script; Organise and monitor bump in/bump out; Realise productions; plus 14 elective units.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency within this Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment.
