      Course Admission Requirements (for International Applications)

      • Academic IELTS score of 5.5 Overall with minimum of 5.0 in all bands or equivalent.
      • Satisfactory completion of the Certificates III & IV in Hospitality, or the Certificates III & IV in Commercial Cookery, or the Certificates III & IV in Patisserie.
      • Indian, Nepalese and Bangladeshi students need satisfactory completion of Year 12 or overseas equivalent at 60% in the top 4 subjects (excluding native language) for all courses (ie Cert III, Cert IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Associate Degree) If student has needed to re-sit for their exam provide all exam results.*Not accepting Punjab State Board or Haryana State Board HS results only – need to present a Central Board result exam or a higher qualification.

      If you are applying from onshore, generally, you will need to apply for an international course to TAFE South Australia at least two months before you want to start your studies in Australia. If you are applying from offshore it is highly recommended that you apply at least four months in advance.

      Employment Outcomes

      Courses in general operations enable students to learn specialist skills in silver service, food and wine, and set the foundation for working in a hotel, restaurant, cafe, banqueting or catering environment. More advanced studies enable students to develop competencies such as marketing, finance and human resource management, initially preparing for employment in a team leader/supervisor role, and later in a variety of management roles.

      Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

      Qualifications & Skills Covered

      Advanced Diploma of Hospitality
      This qualification reflects the role of individuals operating at a senior level who use substantial industry knowledge and wide-ranging, specialised managerial skills. They operate independently, take responsibility for others and make a range of strategic business decisions. 16 core units plus 17 electives.

      Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.

      Packaged University Offer

      This course is available as a Packaged University Offer. The University program(s) for this course: Bachelor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Adelaide or Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Event Management) at the University of South Australia

      This allows students to accept a joint packaged offer with a local South Australian University, and upon successful completion of TAFE SA qualification, the student is eligible for a guaranteed entry into a nominated University Program. Find out more about Packaged University Offers.

      Credit Transfer

      * Students will be required to purchase additional learning materials. The total package costs of Certificate III, IV and Advanced Diploma in Hospitality is $26000. The total package costs of Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery and the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality is $32000. The total package costs of Certificate III & IV in Patisserie and the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality is $32500.

      Overseas Student Health Cover
