This qualification reflects the roles of individuals who apply substantial specialised skills and knowledge in the field of adult language, literacy and numeracy practice. In these roles they make significant high level judgements to analyse, plan, deliver and evaluate specialised teaching functions within complex contexts.
Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.
Qualifications & Skills Covered
Graduate Diploma of Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice
4 core units:
- Analyse and apply adult literacy teaching practices
- Analyse and apply adult numeracy teaching practices
- Develop English language skills of adult learners
- Implement and evaluate delivery of adult language, literacy and numeracy skills
- plus 2 elective units.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
