Course Notes & Special Requirements
- TAFE SA can recognise the skills (RPL) you already have. If you are working in the industry and have skills that can be recognised, TAFE SA will provide any additional training needed to gain a qualification.
- Students wishing to access VET Fee Help will be required to demonstrate satisfactory reading, writing and numeracy skills or provide evidence of Year 12 completion as part of course counselling before enrolling.

Diploma of Veterinary Nursing (General Practice)
This course is the industry standard for experienced veterinary nurses who provide a leadership role and apply advanced skills and knowledge in patient assessment, care and management within a veterinary workplace. Undertaking study for this qualification requires regular exposure and access to patients, clients, consults, medical and surgical cases, reception and administrative duties, practice policies, procedures, retail and customer service experiences. 8 core units.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
Studying at TAFE SA is one of the easiest pathways towards a University Degree. Credit Transfer is the formal recognition that parts of a TAFE SA course are equivalent in content and level to parts of some University courses.
