Photography offers wonderful career opportunities for people who are motivated, hardworking and enjoy a creative challenge. It is a global industry with a world of employment opportunities both in Australia and overseas. Graduates have found employment as photographers and photographic assistants in a range of genres including photojournalism/editorial, wedding/portrait, advertising/commercial/industrial, medical/scientific and also a range of new media opportunities including digital retouching and digital video production.

Diploma of Photo Imaging
If photography is your passion, then unleash your creativity with this qualification. Explore photographic techniques, advertising, editorial, industrial, portraiture, still life, architecture, and fashion. Through projects, you’ll create a range of imagery for commercial and domestic clients. You can also specialise in a range of photographic work of your choice. 3 core units plus 14 electives.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
Studying at TAFE SA is one of the easiest pathways towards a University Degree. Credit Transfer is the formal recognition that parts of a TAFE SA course are equivalent in content and level to parts of some University courses.
