    Courses in this area cover the skills and knowledge needed to be competent in website design or administration. Topics covered include markup languages, ensuring website content meets appropriate technical protocols and standards, and creating websites according to clients’ business needs and expectations. This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent as a senior ICT professional with responsibilities spanning design, development, site performance, database integration through to implementation and acceptance testing.

    Interactive web development in HTML5 and CSS3; file transfer protocol using a range of clients; web hosting services; website development using Adobe Dreamweaver and WordPress; database design and development using MySQL; interactive web programming in JavaScript and PHP; visual design for website projects; website accessibility and usabilitt; search engine optimisation (SEO); copyright' ethics and privacy.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency within this Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment.
