  • You must be working in a related industry and provide evidence of this when you enrol.

Course Notes

  • A satisfactory police check will be required at the expense of the student prior to commencing a vocational work placement or gaining employment. All students are required to complete vocational placements (unless currently employed in an appropriate setting) and be assessed in the workplace. Most organisations also require Child Safe Environments and Senior First Aid Certificates.

10 core units: Support community participation; Develop and implement community programs; Work within a community development framework; Work within specific communities; Develop community resources; Use targeted communication skills to build relationships; Work within a relevant legal and ethical framework; Work effectively in the community sector; Meet information needs of the community; Maintain an effective work environment; plus 5 elective units.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency within this Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment.
