Further information about this requirement can be accessed at: http://www.health.gov.au/internet/main/publishing.nsf/Content/ageing-quality-factsheet-policechecks.htm Students are responsible for any costs associated with obtaining a police check. Further information about police checks and the associated costs can be accessed through the South Australian Police website: http://www.sapolice.sa.gov.au/sapol/services/information_requests/national_police_certificate.jsp
In addition students are required to read the Immunisation Guidelines for Health Care Workers in South Australia, in particular Section 4.1 and to consider their immunisation status prior to commencing vocational work placement. http://www.health.sa.gov.au/pehs/Immunisation/h

Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

Fees

In July 2012 the South Australian Government will be introducing the Skills For All policy initiative. Skills For All may impact the eligibility and funding arrangements for government subsidised vocational education and training in South Australia. As a direct result of this initiative, TAFE SA will reassess all student fees prior to Semester 2, 2012. This may result in some student fees decreasing whilst others may increase.

TAFE SA will advise students of new fees as soon as they are available. Information on Skills For All is available at http://www.skills.sa.gov.au/.
