Expected Employment Outcome Example
Spatial information services involve the collection, storage, manipulation, analysis and display of spatial data and information, which can be related to a location on earth. The information can be used for the purpose of planning and implementing the efficient administration and development of natural and built resources. Training in this area provides the necessary skills and knowledge for graduates to work as surveyors or geographic information system (GIS) technicians in areas where spatial data is used in the decision-making process including asset management, planning, land development, environmental management, marketing, mining, resource development, primary industry, and local government.
Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

Fees
In July 2012 the South Australian Government will be introducing the Skills For All policy initiative.
Skills For All may impact the eligibility and funding arrangements for government subsidised vocational education and training in South Australia.
As a direct result of this initiative, TAFE SA will reassess all student fees prior to Semester 2, 2012. This may result in some student fees decreasing whilst others may increase.
TAFE SA will advise students of new fees as soon as they are available. Information on Skills For All is available at http://www.skills.sa.gov.au/.
