This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of administrative competencies in varied work contexts, using some discretion and judgement. They may provide technical advice and support to a team. Possible job roles include accounts receivable clerk, accounts payable clerk, clerk, data entry operator, receptionist, office administrator and word processing operator.

2 core units: develop keyboarding speed and accuracy; participate in OHS processes; plus 11 elective units: 7 units from financial administration; general administration; IT use; and writing; plus 4 units from specified areas.

- Applications for the 2012 Intake must be made through the centralised TAFE Admissions system via SATAC (South Australian
Tertiary Admissions Centre) by the advertised date.
- Applicants can make one application for up to six course preferences.

Fees
In July 2012 the South Australian Government will be introducing the Skills For All policy initiative.
Skills For All may impact the eligibility and funding arrangements for government subsidised vocational education and training in South Australia.
As a direct result of this initiative, TAFE SA will reassess all student fees prior to Semester 2, 2012. This may result in some student fees decreasing whilst others may increase.
