Employment Outcomes
This qualification provides a pathway to the primary trades in the construction industry. Trade outcomes are predominantly achieved through an Australian Apprenticeship and this Certificate II allows for inclusion of skills suited for entry to off-site occupations, such as joinery and carpentry and shopfitting.
Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

Certificate II Program in Construction (Wood Trades)
9 core units: work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry; plan and organise work; conduct workplace communication; carry out measurements and calculations; read and interpret plans and specifications; use construction tools and equipment; apply basic levelling procedures; carry out concreting to simple forms; apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry; plus 6 specialist elective units.
