Employment Outcomes
This qualification is ideal for students wishing to gain sound technical skills and knowledge to produce jewellery. This course would aid students to gain entry into a Degree qualification or seek apprenticeship in the jewellery industry.
Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.
Skills Covered
Certificate IV Program in Jewellery
This course is aimed at people who want to specialize in jewellery making or to gain entry into the Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design or to gain an apprenticeship in jewellery. Units include hand techniques to produce jewellery items; jewellery construction; jewellery metal casting; and fabrication of jewellery; drawing, originating concepts; 3D design; and art history.
