TAFE SA has reinforced their commitment to South Australia’s dairy industry with the gold sponsorship of today’s DairySA Central Dairy Conference held at the Adelaide Hills Conferencing Auditorium in Hahndorf.
The annual conference is an opportunity for local farmers to access innovative and useful information to help improve their business.
At the conference TAFE SA will provide information to participants about the range of short courses running this year. Designed specifically for the dairy industry, the courses aim to up-skill farmhands (from assistant to senior level) in areas such as health and welfare, milking, feeding, reproduction, farm management and machinery operation.
“TAFE SA has been working closely with Dairy SA to deliver quality training courses to local dairy farmers,” said TAFE SA Lecturer Dr Glen Beath.
“Regular training helps farmers to retain good quality staff, which strengthens the industry as a whole.”
Dr Glen Beath and Business Operations Manager Wendy Saunders will represent TAFE SA at the conference and look forward to discussing training opportunities with the attendees.
