The 2012 TAFE SA Fashion Graduate Parade will showcase the hottest styles, textures and trends by Adelaide’s latest batch of emerging fashion designers on 26 October at 8pm.
The final year Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design and Technology students’ will parade their six piece graduation collections in a raw, underground location in the Adelaide CBD.
The class of 22 students will put their blood, thread and tears on the catwalk with reflective collections channelling personal experiences.
With collections ranging from eveningwear to wearable art, menswear to contemporary daywear, the parade is a culmination of three years of fashion design study.
On what people can expect from this year parade, Senior Fashion Lecturer Helen Jansson said: “The level of individuality in fabric design and garment embellishment is a strong focus for the 2012 Fashion Graduate Parade.”
TAFE SA has a strong history of producing great talent with graduates working for their own labels or leading fashion brands locally, nationally and internationally.
The Fashion Graduate Parade is a truly collaborative event and highlights the practical training at TAFE SA. The Hair and Beauty students and lecturers will be working backstage creating the hair and makeup seen on the catwalk.
