Mining and Geoscience at our Regency Campus provides practical courses designed for people wishing to gain employment in the mineral and petroleum industries, with a particular focus on exploration.

Completion of the Diploma of Applied Geosciences offers pathways and credit arrangements thanks to its strong connections with the University of Adelaide.

Mining Exploration and Geoscience Courses

Award Courses provide a complete qualification for Certificate III in Mining Exploration and Diploma of Applied Geosciences.

Certificate III in Mining Exploration is a six month course tailored to meet the needs of the Australian exploration industry and produces graduates possessing a wide range of field skills.

The Diploma of Applied Geosciences continues for a further 18 months and covers theoretical and practical study aiming to produce graduates able to work unsupervised at a paraprofessional level.

The combination of theory and extensive ‘hands on’ training has enabled past graduates to apply their skills and knowledge across a broad range of employment opportunities throughout Australia and overseas.

Some course subjects are now available by flexible delivery and recognition of prior learning is available for students with relevant work experience or academic background.
