Today is the day.

I am sitting at my desk, writing my very first blog ever in my life.

For this venture I found that I should be well-provided with my favourite chocolate. Now, I see that I have eaten half of the block already, so, it is time to concentrate on the writing rather than on the eating…

Some days ago I got great news. I had been selected to be one of the International Student Ambassadors of TAFE SA in 2012. Wow, I thought, that’s awesome! I am really happy to be part of a great new team this year!

You might ask yourself now, who is this person that likes chocolate and became an Ambassador and what is it that the Ambassadors are actually doing?

Let me introduce myself a little bit. I am a German girl and my name is Jess. I study Accounting at TAFE SA since July last year, so, I am in my second semester. And still I enjoy it very much!

I am actually a very happy and positive person (although people always tell me I look so serious!?!? L). I am always eager to learn and try new things and to make new experiences.

I chose to be in Adelaide because I know it from travelling in the past, and I just love it. The whole place with the beach on one side and the hills on the other side, the amazing, friendly people, the pleasant climate... yes, I can say I love it!

And for the next one year, one of my activities is to be in the team of International Student Ambassadors. Yeah!

The Ambassadors take care of international students. To put it another way, we are there to make your student life better. For example, there will be great events coming up during the year, organised by us, at which you can participate. Read about our stories and information in this blog and on Facebook. Let’s keep in touch, tell us your ideas, problems, comments or just a good joke that we can share. We want to help to let studying in Adelaide become one of your best experiences in your life!
