During TAFE South Australia's orientation program, you'll be shown around your campus, have the opportunity to meet lecturers and other students, as well as receive important information regarding your enrolment, class timetables and visa obligations.
The orientation program not only provides you with important information, it is also takes you through parts of your enrolment process, so attendance is required.
When you arrive, you should notify the International Office of your address. You will then be sent an orientation timetable for your campus.
Orientation covers the following areas.
Campus tours
Tours of your campus, and some tours of the city may be held. You'll also be given information on living in South Australia
Your obligations You'll be told about your attendance requirements and how to make sure you meet the conditions of your student visa.
Overseas Student Health Care
You'll receive some information on OSHC at orientation. If you have paid the fee, you'll receive your OSHC card soon after orientation.
ID cards
New students are given their student ID cards during orientation.
Enrolment information
Enrolment sessions are held for each course after orientation and before classes commence. At these sessions you will receive information specific to your course, including your class timetable. The enrolment sessions for every course are announced at orientation.
