On 25th November 2013, 22 cadets from the Shanghai Police College
commenced their 21 day study tour in Australia.
The study tour included a week long program with TAFE SA where students undertook training and information sessions at TAFE SA’s Adelaide City Campus, the Fort Largs Police Academy, the Department of Planning, Transport & Infrastructure, Adelaide Police Station, the Adelaide Magistrates Court and the Environment Protection Authority. Cadets also attended the Cleland Wildlife Park where they were able to interact with iconic Australian wildlife as well as attend a presentation on international trade in animals and its correlation with other offences such as drug trafficking.
Amongst all of the study, students also got to enjoy some of their free time exploring the city of Adelaide.
Following the week long program at TAFE SA, cadets travelled to Canberra, Sydney and then onto Brisbane where they continued their study tour, before returning to Shanghai on 15th December 2013.
