If your goal is to achieve a bachelor degree in your chosen field of study, TAFE SA offers two different types of pathway to university - a University Packaged Program or Credit Transfer.
A University Packaged Program allows you to select the course and the university you wish to study at, before commencing your studies at TAFE SA.
Credit Transfer gives you the opportunity to select your university course on completion of your TAFE SA studies.
With additional Bachelor programs becoming available, international students can choose to stay at TAFE SA for qualifications such as the Bachelor of Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management.
TAFE SA has partnered with the University of South Australia, the University of Adelaide and Flinders University to offer packaged offers in a variety of fields.
This allows students to accept a joint packaged offer with a local South Australian university, and upon successful completion of a TAFE SA qualification, the student is eligible for a guaranteed entry into a nominated University Degree Program.

In addition to this, credit transfer is available to ensure that your TAFE SA studies are recognised as being equivalent in content and level to parts of other education programs, including university degrees.
Studying at TAFE SA is a smart choice that can save you money. Our tuition fees are very competitive. Your TAFE SA qualification also provides credit towards your university degree, so you can complete your degree in less time and save money.
Example of Savings
Maria wants to complete a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering at university. This will cost her around $51,000* (AUD) for each year of the four-year degree, or around $204,000 (AUD) overall.
Maria has chosen to study the Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering (092127K / CRS1400352) at TAFE SA which costs around $19,550* (AUD) a year or around $39,100 for the two-year course.
When Maria completes her TAFE SA study, she will gain two years credit to go on to complete her Bachelor degree at university in two years.
At the end of the four years, Maria will have two qualifications, the Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering (092127K / CRS1400352) and the related Bachelor of Engineering at one of Adelaide’s finest universities.

International students applying for a Packaged University Offer apply according to the requirements for their preferred University as outlined above.
Please refer to the Guidelines on Genuine Student, Temporary Entrant, Student Visa Living Costs and Proof of Funds for important information regarding GTE.
Students seeking a packaged offer may be required to satisfy additional conditions (as outlined in the Letter of Offer). Upon acceptance* of the offered place/s students will receive a COE for the duration of the TAFE SA and University programs.
Upon receipt of the Confirmation of Enrolments (COEs), international students can apply for a student visa for the total duration of both programs.
International students on a packaged visa are committed to study the TAFE SA qualification and the partner University course. Students should not accept their Offer if they intend to change their chosen course or transfer to another institution.
*Some packages are offered on a quota basis. Until acceptance and payment has been received so that a COE can be issued, a place in the relevant courses cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, it is advisable to accept as soon as possible.
