From Trainee to Employment Consultant

May 21, 2013

TAFE SA’s Certificate III in Business Administration has helped local trainee Ashleigh Bussenshutt gain full time work at Employment Directions in Kadina, where she now is able to assist other locals on their journey to employment.

TAFE SA Business Administration Senior Lecturer Penny Hardy said that Ashleigh did extremely well throughout her traineeship. “Ashleigh’s great attitude and dedication to her study requirements enabled her to become workplace ready fairly quickly. Ashleigh brought into her studies strong computing and communication skills which only needed a little bit of ‘grooming’ to meet business protocols and expectations in the workplace. I’m very proud of her and her accomplishments”, said Mrs Hardy.

Ashleigh enjoyed studying the different aspects of Business Administration in the Virtual Enterprise class at the TAFE SA Kadina Campus. “During my studies I developed the necessary skills required to become a professional and knowledgeable asset to Employment Directions. My lecturer, Penny Hardy, was extremely helpful and always assisted me with any questions and concerns. Her patience and understanding was appreciated and she helped me to complete the course sooner than anticipated”, said Ashleigh.

Ashleigh is now focused on building her career with Employment Directions and said that the business administration course has helped her move forward in her job. “TAFE SA provides excellent opportunities to challenge yourself and gain the skills required to become successful”, said Ashleigh.

“The Virtual Enterprise class at the TAFE SA Kadina Campus teaches students all the skills required for working in a business. It is a practical way to learn about finance, trading, sales, human resources and administration. We can help you gain a qualification to benefit your current or future employment, just like we did for Ashleigh”, said Mrs Hardy.
