High level dual or multi-lingual language speakers can find rewarding careers in areas such as interpreting and translating or working as foreign language speakers in a broad range of industries such as business, tourism, hospitality, education and health.
The ability to fluently communicate in another language can be a valuable asset on your resume. A combination of high-level English and community language skills can provide a solid basis for a career in Interpreting & translating.
Learning another language with TAFE SA will provide you with practical, vocationally-orientated and culturally appropriate skills to enable you to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms. Many students combine learning a second language with another course or employment.
Learn how to communicate with people who are deaf or hearing impaired with our studies in Australian Sign Language (AUSLAN). Graduates will gain the introductory AUSLAN skills which can be an advantage for work in teaching, child care, community welfare, public service and health roles.
