Community Services & Family Support Work
As a community services graduate you may find yourself working in a community development role with the aged, those in need of refuge or advocacy, or in promoting social benefit to the community through recreation, education and employment programs.
Employment opportunities for graduates exist in social housing, out-of-home care settings, youth services, youth residential facilities, alcohol and drug services, advocacy services, mental health (non-clinical) settings, and aged or disability respite services.
Community Services Work Courses
There are a range of roles for graduates including alternative care worker, care worker, case support worker, child protection support worker, children's/youth support worker, community visitors, cottage parent, direct care worker, early intervention worker,
entry level case worker, family support/ prevention worker, foster parent/carer, home-based care worker, out of home care provider, residential care worker, social housing support worker.
