The Aboriginal Access Centre Business Unit design and deliver a range of exciting and innovative programs to Aboriginal people across regional, remote and metropolitan areas.
These programs are delivered in collaboration with a range of stakeholders including community organisations, enterprises, industry associations, government agencies and schools, and provide critical pathways to further training and employment opportunities. Staff also provide vital mentoring support so that Aboriginal people can successfully achieve their learning and employment goals.
The Aboriginal Access Centre supports students through Training Support Officers who:
- Develop Individual Learning Plans to map pathways to future education and/or employment; and
- Provide support to students through fee assistance and tutorial support for the duration of their course.
