The 2014 TAFE SA Fashion Graduate Parade will showcase the latest styles, textures and trends by Adelaide’s emerging fashion designers.
For the first time the final year Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design and Technology students’ will parade their six piece graduation collections in an open air marquee in Light Square on 5 December at 4pm and 8pm.
The class of 23 students have crafted collections that reflect their lives, experiences and personalities outside the classroom, with ranges influenced by dance, music and theatre.
Principal Lecturer Helen Jansson said: “This year’s ranges have risen to a new level in terms of construction and fit. The designs are sophisticated with a stronger emphasis on evening and special occasion wear than we have seen in the past few parades.”
TAFE SA has a strong history of producing great talent with graduates working for leading fashion brands locally, nationally and internationally or for their own labels.
When: Friday 5 December at 4 and 8pm

The Fashion Graduate Parade is a collaborative event and provides TAFE SA students from across a number of disciplines the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience. The hair and beauty students and lecturers work backstage creating the hair and makeup seen on the catwalk, fashion event coordination students from fashion retail help with front and back of house and students from technical production courses at Adelaide College of the Arts are involved with the staging of the event.
