Academic records

As a student, you will generate an academic record of your course module results, which are linked to your student ID number. All your results are permanently recorded and you can access them from any TAFE SA campus in the state.

You are encouraged to collect a copy of your academic record from the relevant administration office when you have completed your studies, as it may be needed for employment-related issues or future course counselling.

Please note that an unsuccessful result will be recorded if you withdraw without notice or withdraw late in the course program.

Award parchments

Once you have completed the requirements of an award (such as Certificate, Diploma or Degree) you will be eligible to receive an official TAFE SA parchment. Some certificates are awarded automatically on successful completion of the course, but for most of the other courses you will need to apply to receive the parchment, so we encourage you to approach your program area to clarify the process.

If you qualify for a parchment for the studies you have completed, you will need to lodge an Application for Parchment form (PDF, 24 KB).

Requirements

Your award will only be conferred when the academic records show that you have met all the requirements for the award and have paid all the fees. The subject or course coordinator is responsible for confirming your eligibility for an award after your academic records and enrolment compliances are checked for accuracy. In most cases, formal graduation ceremonies are organised for the presentation of award parchments.

Posting

You may have your parchment posted to you by submitting a written and signed request along with confirmation of your current address. The parchment will be sent by registered mail.

Pick up

All parchments are registered and only one parchment is issued. If you wish for someone else to pick up your parchment from the campus, you must provide written and signed permission.

Academic requirements not met

If you claim an award when you have not met the academic requirements, it may be regarded as academic misconduct.
